Job Requirements: This position exists to secure clear title for highway right of way acquisitions, provide relocation assistance in accordance with the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Act of 1970 and amendments and complete the property management process in a manner consistence with KDOT’s missions and core values. Responsible for reviewing and evaluating relocation assistance documents submitted by relocation agents and consultants. Inspects documents for compliance, completeness, and accuracy. Displays a thorough knowledge of the uniform Act for equitable treatment for persons whose property is acquired for public use and to recognize that all supporting documentation has been obtained by the agent from the relocation client. Apprises the Chief Relocation Officer of consistent and /or significant documentation deficiencies. Assists in properly implementing the regulations of the Uniform Act in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Responsible for preparing and processing payment vouchers for all relocation assistance payments utilizing SMART, WinCMPS and/or the KDOT tracking system RAID. Forward all vouchers to fiscal services for processing. Reviews incoming warrants received from Fiscal services for accuracy. Documents appropriate relocation files on all relocation warrants received. Prepares payments for mailing or delivery by the agent(s). Maintains database of all relocation assistance payments.
